LG 47LW6500 Cinema 3D LED TV

LG LW6500 review: A high quality LG panel with great 2D video, but 3D is a mixed bag

Cinema 3D is smooth ; Great 2D detail and excellent colour ; LG's Smart TV is great

Poor 3D resolution and detail ; Blacks look slightly grey

The LG 47LW6500 has a high quality panel that's able to display good quality video in 2D mode with plenty of visible detail. LG's stand-out approach to 3D, in its passive Cinema 3D panels, is smoother and less troublesome than 'active' 3D, despite a...

LG LW6500 3D LED TV

The LG LW6500 partially addresses one of the current major bugbears with 3D TV — the need to wear clunky, battery-powered 3D glasses.

Passive 3D means much cheaper 3D glasses and no flicker

You've still got to wear glasses, picture resolution is reduced in 3D mode

LG's LW6500 LED TV is one of the more innovative TVs to be announced at CES 2011. It uses passive 3D -- just like a cinema screen -- which means glasses are a lot cheaper and crosstalk should be reduced. It also has all the Web features you'd expect...

LG Infinia 47LW6500 LED HDTV Review: Excellent All-Around 3D TV at a Reasonable Price

With a built-in Web browser and a second remote that works like a wireless mouse, the LG Infinia 47LW6500--successor to the Infinia 47LW5600 that we reviewed earlier this year--rates as one today's better Internet-connected, 3d-supperting, LED-backlit...

Very good image quality ; Highly competitive price ; Excellent feature selection

Minor motion issues

LG's 47LW6500 passive-3D LED TV offers great image quality and features for the price.

LG 47LW6500 - A Next Generation 3D Experience

Loaded with 2D to 3D conversion and many other interesting features, this is something to definitely look out for.

LG’s new CINEMA 3D TV is a move in the right direction. It improves upon the most common complaints that most people have with regards toviewing 3D movies in a theater or on a TV at home. The light-weight glasses and the reduced flicker allows users to...

LG 47LW6500

The LG 47LW6500 is a stunner, it offers an impressive picture in both 2D and 3D and the Magic Motion remote is an absolute blast.

A lot of fun ; Solid, cinematic images ; Smart TV functionality ; Plenty of features ; Non-tiring 3D system

Not the deepest blacks around ; Sound could be better ; 3D is interlaced

With the 47LW6500, LG has realised its potential and produced the best TV that we've seen from the company in years. It's managed to produce an excellent all-rounder at a reasonable price, and thrown in a really fun "smart" system, as well. It doesn't...

LG 42LW6500 Cinema 3D Review

The biggest complaints against 3D television - headache and eyestrain have been addressed by LG by implementing passive glasses instead of the heavier active shutter ones. However, eyestrain is still something that is down to individual body response....

Excellent 2D performance, 2D to 3D upscale is impressive, Passive 3D glasses are a lot more comfortable, Good mix of colour depth, sharpness and TruMotion, Local dimming feature helps with black levels

TV tends to rock around a bit when touched, on the tabletop stand install, Wi-Fi not integrated; needs optional adapter, Remote layout leans towards the complicated side
