Sony XR-65A95L Review

The Sony XR-65A95L TV sees improvements on its predecessor, including a new brighter panel, a tweaked design and additional features.

Subtle, nuanced, and colourful picture ; One of the better TV sound systems ; Improved set of gaming features ; Intuitive smart interface

Expensive ; Black levels lack a little detail ; Feet design is still a little awkward

An excellent 4K TV that’s a more complete version of its predecessor, the Sony A95L produces subtle, nuanced improvements over traditional OLEDs, and features one of the best built-in TV sound systems. It is pricier than the rest of the competition,...

Sony XR-55A95L Review

Sony's current flagship TV builds on the strengths of its Quantum Dot OLED predecessor to deliver another home cinema masterclass.

Stunningly cinematic picture quality ; Attractive but also flexible design ; Warm, detailed and immersive sound

Relatively expensive ; No HDR10+ support ; Doesn’t use the latest QD OLED panel

The 55A95L may not be cheap, but its stellar picture and sound quality make it feel like it’s worth every penny.

Sony A95L review: TV mastery at work

For pure sound and vision quality the Sony's A95L QD-OLED is a delight – caveated with some design and feature quirks

Super-bright yet even-handed picture quality is stunning ; Incredible sound offsets need for a soundbar ; Dolby Vision Gaming at 4K/120Hz, VRR, ALLM

Feet at outer edges makes for a foolish stand design ; Only two of four slots are HDMI 2.1 standard ; Google TV remains irksome

The Sony A95L delivers stunning quality straight out of the box, beating its key competitors when it comes to sheer picture clarity, overall brightness, and motion processing authenticity. Sure, you'll have to pay more cash to own one and need a...

Sony A95L (XR-65A95L) review

Sony's second-generation QD-OLED TV is very special indeed

Stunning brightness, contrast and colours ; But even-handed and authentic, too ; Crisp, direct and spacious sound

Still only two HDMI 2.1 sockets ; Some gaming features coming later ; No UK catch-up apps

With super-bright content, the A95L will knock your socks off; with everything else, it's merely superb – and it sounds great for a TV, too

Still only two HDMI 2.1 sockets ; Likely to be expensive

I saw Sony's new A95L QD-OLED, and it could be the best 4K TV of 2023

The future looks bright for Sony's new A95L QD-OLED

Impressive brightness ; Excellent black depth ; Great gaming support with new Game Menu

Will most likely be pricey ; Limited range of screen sizes compared to regular OLEDs

Sony's next-gen QD-OLED looked great in our eyes-on evaluation, and increased brightness over last year's model combined with new gaming and picture processing enhancements make it one of the more most promising new TVs for 2023.

Sony A95L QD-OLED initial review: The future is bright

Sony's A95K was one of our favourite TVs of last year, and now we've clapped eyes on its successor. Can the A95L top its performance this year?

Superb brightness ; Punchier colours ; Improved detail retrieval ; Should sound great

Too early to tell

The A95K was always going to be a tough act to follow, but the A95L is showing all the right signs of doing that without issue. The brightness of the new panel should look fantastic with HDR content, and when combined with improved colour volume and...

Sony A95L (QD-OLED) review

2023 QD-OLED and a new chip platform. Is A95L the new king?

Reference picture quality ; Impressive HDR performance ; Panel uniformity ; Motion system ; Remote control

Pixel structure causes color fringing (text) ; Google TV regional limitations, ads ; Only two HDMI 2.1 ports
