After taking over the budget end of the 37in market, Panasonic now dominates the high-end, too

Great colours, vibrancy, detail and edge definition from all sources ; very impressive sound performance ; excellent spec and usability

Panasonic TX37LZD800

A beautiful looking, sounding and performing LCD from Panasonic ..

The TX-37LZD800 does not offer a significant advantage in terms of picture performance over the LZD85, but if you value an improved acoustic performance and having a beautifully designed piece of kit in your living room, this could be the screen for you.

Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD800A

The Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD800A is a very capable telly and is ideally suited to wide rooms due to its excellent viewing angles.

Excellent off-axis viewing ; Smooth, accurate motion ; Good colour and detail

Pictures are a little soft ; Not suited to tweakers ; Poor SD picture processing

Judged against Panasonic's own plasma TVs the LZD800A comes off wanting, but against its competitors it's definitely a good screen. It may not have the fancy design or gimmicks of the LG Scarlets or Sony X series' of this world, but you know that the...
