Panasonic TX-P42G10 review

Some strong HD pictures and a good feature count fail to make this TV any more attractive

Superb HD pictures ; Built-in Freesat tuner

Expensive ; Not very attractive

A phenomenal HD performer, but a slightly mis-coloured SD performance and high price let it down

Panasonic TX-P42G10 review

The 2009 Panasonics have taken up where the 2008 models left off: the Freesat-equipped TX-P42G10 plasma is fine value for money

Good spec includes Freesat reception ; fine ergonomics ; stable, radiant and detailed images

Sound is ordinary ; chassis looks bulky

Panasonic Viera TX-P42G10B review

Panasonic's 42in Viera TX-P42G10B is great value for a full HD plasma TV. There are plenty of cheaper plasma TVs out there, but they usually have just a 1,024x768 resolution. Compared with most LCD-based HD TVs, plasma screens have much better...

Fantastic image quality and the benefit of Freesat make this a great choice if you're after a 42in HD TV.

Panasonic TX-P42G10

Panasonic's new 2009 plasma and LCD models are beginning to emerge on the market. Panasonic has released a huge amount of new TV series and some of them are even more exciting than the 2008 models. Until the V10 and Z10 series are available we behold...

Super picture quality; Functionality and settings options; Deep blacks and good contrast; Better gamma than on the PZ85/80

Remote control; Slightly phosphor trailing; Shadow details

Our TV signal is DVB-S (satellite) and DVB-T (terrestrial). We also have an analogue TV connection.

Panasonic TX-P42G10

Not surprisingly, this doesn't actually mean the screen refreshes itself 600 times a second. In this instance, the 600Hz figure comes from something called sub-field frame creation, where enough extra frames of image data are created to allow Panasonic...

Superb HD pictures, built-in Freesat tuner, economical to run by plasma standards

Standard definition pictures look a little soft; colours sometimes look a bit off-key, not the most attractive looking TV

Panasonic Viera TX-P42G10 Freesat HD TV

The SD scaling is merely average, but the 600Hz option does a good job on sports programmes.

If all you're looking for is a big 42in flat-screen TV for watching routine standard-definition fare such as Big Brother or Britain's [Not] Got Talent, then there are cheaper - possibly even better - LCD sets available, as we've seen LCD models that...

The TX-P42G10 delivers on the promise of some exciting new technological developments ..

While there are a few minor glitches, the TX-P42G10 really delivers on the promise of some exciting new technological developments. Add further refinement in the shape of V-real 4 and the the TX-P42G10 joins an elite group of mid range flat panel TV's.

Panasonic TX-P42G10 NeoPDP plasma screen

Apparently, right now, it's in style for certain news outlets to mis-inform the public, and tell them that Plasma TV is on its last legs. If these people are to be believed, the European government is about to Â"banÂ" Plasmas due to their apparently...
