Sharp Elite Pro-60X5FD

The Sharp Elite Pro-X5FD series delivers superb colors and inky blacks, and the 3D performance is as good as it gets, but these big-screen LED HDTVs will cost you.

Outstanding color accuracy. Deep blacks. Very high contrast ratio. Best-in-class 3D performance. Loads of picture settings. Two-year parts and labor warranty and enhanced support services are included.

Expensive. Narrower-than-typical viewing angles. Mediocre 2D-to-3D conversion.

The Elite Pro-60X5FD offers wired Ethernet and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity along with a nice catalog of Web apps. A suite of Vudu apps includes movies, Facebook, Pandora, Flickr, Twitter, and Picasa Web Albums. It also brings more than 20 news...

Sharp Elite PRO-X5FD review: Sharp Elite PRO-X5FD

The picture of the Sharp Elite PRO-X5FD LED TV delivers deeper black levels and better contrast than any other LCD or plasma on the market. Unlike other full-array local dimming TVs, it maintains its superior picture from normal viewing angles and...

Even with its superb performance, it's impossible to call the gratuitously expensive Elite a good value. Blue/green areas are less accurate than we expect from a TV of this caliber, uniformity and off-angle aren't quite as good as plasma, and its...

The overpriced Sharp Elite LED-based LCD produces the second-best overall picture quality of any TV we've reviewed since 2008.

"the picture is everything you would ever want in a TV"

wow...if you pony up the extra bucks for this tv, you will not be disappointed

picture quality, off angle viewing

price, sound quality could be better, but after a bit of tuning the sound is on par with any competitor.

"This HDTV is simply one of the best in the market."

This is one of the HDTV that I highly recommend you to get. Also, feel free to check out %s on information on what is the best HDTV to get for this year.

This HDTV produces the black level that exceeds the Panasonic Kuro plasma HDTV. The picture quality is just sensational with the help of local dimming technology.

Can't really think of one. If I really have to say one then I have to say that the sound quality can not be compared to the home theater quality.

"The TV by which all other TV's are judged."

If you want great performance for ANYTHING even if you just watch normal tv channels, shell out the cash for this bad boy. You'll be glad you did!

- VERY deep black level, darker than plasma's

The Price, but you can't have a nice TV and be cheap about it.

"Unbeatable picture!!!"

This TV is hands down the best TV on the market if you have the dough for it. I don't really know why CNET was saying that this TV would more than likely end up on a wall and the base doesn't matter, but that really is a factor to consider. I love the...

This TV is incredible. The black levels are out of this world and the colors are amazing. This TV has won every comparison test that I have ever seen and with good reason too.

It'll cost ya. The base doesn't swivel and is made of plastic. I know that seems like a dumb complaint, but a $5500-8000 TV should have a glass base that swivels. There is a lack of content compare to the other big name brands out today.

"Best picture I have ever seen for movies.3d not so good"

For watching movies, this unit has the best black levels and overall picture I have seen. Whether it can perform well with 3d material is yet to be seen. The 3d version of Alice and Wonderland looked much better on a 55" Sony than I have seen on this...

I have heard terrific things about the performance of this TV. The black performance is unreal, and the color accuracy is amazingly accurate. Hands down, the best picture I have seen for movies.

The display model that I viewed showing 3d looked blurred and distorted. There were visible lines on the left/right of the screen that could be seen with the 3d glasses on. This could have been just a defective display modelm or was it?
