Good value. Excellent detail with HD video sources. Large screen size.

Inefficient default settings. Picture not as detailed as on some 120- or 240-Hz LCDs.

If you want the best value for one of the largest 1080p LCD screens currently available, the Sharp LC-65D64U is the set to beat.

Sharp AQOUS LC-65D64U Review – 65-inch LCD HDTV

 

With a price of around $4,999.99 MSRP, Sharp AQUOS LC-65D64U might look a bit overpriced, but has a lot of advance features to compensate for the high-price.

There have been no fumes or odors from mine. Would absolutely purchase this TV again if I had to do it over.

Best tv for the money

I can't believe high def could look this good. Easy to setup. Image was incredible. No bands as noted before. Can't get a bigger tv for this type of money. Newegg shipping was incredible. Ordered on friday, I got it on tuesday

Bought this for a conference room at work, and am not disappointed. This thing is big but skinny, and delivers reasonable picture quality.

Big, bright picture, lots of inputs, good viewing angle range, nice HD quality

Interlace modes have fuzzy artifacts around motion, contrast tends to highlight image compression

Newegg delivers once again!

This thing is big and beautiful!! Did I mention its big?!?! Picture is stunning. I'm seeing details I never saw before. I've had no issues with heat or smell that were mentioned by other reviewers

It's all dependent on the signal/recording coming in. If the equipment used to record the program isn't top notch, then you can't expect it to look good. If the latest technology was used to record the program it will leave you in awe

Sharp Aquos 65"

 

Review with 3 stars is referring to a Samsung TV not a Sharp-very misleading for Sharp. Helped a friend purchase the Sharp Aquos 65"-beautiful picture and no problems since purchase in Feb-has received many compliments on this TV.

You can notice heat coming from unit if you get close to it

Get agood surge protector and turn off all power when you're not watching. Search for the same specs any where you want, NEWEGG beats them. I ordered mine on a Thursday and AIT called Monday to deliver. HAH! beat that if you can.

Sweet set, it's got great color and tone, smooth action. Loads of connections, "all auto-sensed"--- setup is simple.

This baby could heat your entire house. Even when it's off it's still very warm.

1st one replaced by Samsung for banding and mottling in darks areas. 2nd one is better. Living with banding but feel for $6000 it should not have this problem.

Large screen, narrow bezel and narrow depth

Horizontal banding and some verticle uneveness visible on moving high key scenes

Great TV, Low Price [...]

 

The Sharp 65" LC65D64U has an incredible picture and has performed wonderfully. It is huge and be careful that any mounting equipment has extra large bolts. Our installer had to purchase these at a local hardware store. We LOVE our TV.
