When I received my kit, two of the cables were defective. However, when I contacted Aposonic, they immediately responded and immediately shipped two new cables to me, without delay or cost. I am very pleased with how they handled the problem.
Customer service at Aposonic was grreat. Responsive to my email, quick to fix the problem

Quality made system at acceptable price! I bought 3 different systems to determine which should be installed to my new office. One of them is $40 cheaper than this kit, and the other one is more expensive. This one just stands out if comparing them...

Manufacturer replaced cable without hassle, but slow.
It's a video surveillance system. IR works
The camera resolution is poor. While my cameras are labeled as 700TVL I doubt that's what I'm getting. The software is primitive and hard to figure out. I tired to connect two different external USB hard drives separately, but the system would not...

I would recommend this system to anyone that wants a quality cctv system but doesn't want to spend a fortune.
I bought the Aposonic DVR set based on great product support reviews. I ran into a snag doing my remote view setup and promptly called Aposonic. I reached tech support with no wait on the phone. Claude patiently worked on the phone with me for nearly...
The only downside that I can bring is the manuals are not very clear in explaining how to do things especially to a non-technical person

A good system for the money, just be patient with the setup and once you learn the system you'll appreciate its features.
Very elaborate software, you can tweak the motion settings to cut down on false alerts, you can email photos of motion to yourself
That same elaborate software can be challenging if you're not tech savvy. When the camera switches between daylight and nighttime it sets off the motion sensor for about 10 minutes every evening and every morning. I had some problems with the power...

For the money I see no way to make this better. If you want better you'll have to spend more, but this setup is way more than adequate for your normal, (and above normal), security needs.
Crazy easy setup, can view online, can view on smartphone app. Cameras are small, seem semi-durable. Very clear image on screen and playback. Night vision works very well. Does have a fairly limited range but its advertised night range is more than true
Wires do seem a lil flimsy, definately want to be carefull running them, (no tugging). Motion detection is hard to dial in at night. Works great in the daytime but wold have to change settings for nighttime, (mostly due to my situation). Spiderwebs in...

I was very happy with this DVR until I went to hook up my PTZ camera. There is no RS-485 connector on the back of this unit, even though it claims to "take control of PTZ devices" in the description. If you don't need PTZ functionality, this is...
Works beautifully ; Easy setup ; Great price
Does not actually support PTZ cameras
