I spent 3 hours trying to get a half decent picture. I had expected better, especially after using a few WansCam IP cameras that I set up in 15 minutes flat, with crisp pictures and no-trouble remote viewing and operation. I'll probably return this one...

At £20 it’s not going to break the bank if you aren’t happy with the performance once you get it out of the box. The colour balance and video capabilities against the MacBook Pro's built-in camera is better, shame the sound isn't.

Good image but the wifi is a waste of time, kept getting drop outs when only 4m from router. Now connected through a wired connection to a wifi rate extender and working perfect.

Build quality is likewise impressive. The IP70's leg is thick metal and its base is reinforced with a removable metal mounting plate. The plastics used in the camera's construction are invariably solid, with not a hint of creak or flex to be found....
