Piece of junk. Very unreliable, poorly designed and cheaply slapped together. DVDs will either stutter and skip or, after a while, the player will not read any disks at all. Total rip off. Garbage like this should not be allowed on the market.

Had trouble with the sound, same as the other person. Went into settings, sound, downmix and chose stereo instead of 5:1. This got the sound working okay.

The main reason to buy a PVR is to record TV shows to watch later. The problem with this unit is it freezes regularly (approx every 2-3 weeks at the most) and the hard drive is wiped of all recordings when it resets. So you cannot keep your recordings....

This unit is defective right out of the box. I bought two: one for myself, and one for my sister. BOTH UNITS CONSISTENTLY OVERHEAT. Both units skip, shut down, pixelate, and reject various DVDs. Stay away from this one.
