It's definitely overpriced. The machine can't do too much meaningful work, and the recording it makes is even not as good as a much cheaper DVD recorder like Philips 3576 does.

Th DVD player has a glitch in the view screen. Sometimes the screen will not function. Otherwise the picture quality and audio were excellent. Improve that screen prob and you will have a great product.

This is an OK player. It is loaded with features, most of which you may not ever use. I have two of these units and both lasted about a year. The disk read circuitry failed.

An "energy saving feature" turns the unit off if it is paused for more than a few minutes, and when it is switched back on you cannot play the DVD from the spot it was paused. This makes the DVD player completely impractical and a waste of money.
