Marshall Motif II ANC review: throwback style, throwdown sound

 

They're much easier to fit in your ears than a guitar amplifier, but the Marshall Motif II ANC might be just as powerful

Punchy and detailed audio ; Secure, comfortable fit ; Distinctive styling

Very average ANC ; Touch controls overly sensitive

These amp-inspired earphones have a suitably slammin’ sound and plenty of built-in features. Noise cancellation is only OK compared to close rivals, though.

Marshall Motif II ANC

 

Marshall call the Motif II A.N.C.'s in-ear headphones, we call them ear buds. No matter what the designation--they're among our favorites because of their sonic excellence.

Excellent sound ; Interesting styling ; 6-hour battery life with ANC (9 without) ; Spotify Tap support ; Buds rated IPX4, case rated IPX5

USB-C port on case isn’t deep enough ; Playback control floats over the app even when no music is playing

If you want excellent sound and listen time, plus conversation-starting styling, the Marshall Motif II ANC earbuds should be near the top of your short list.
