Apple 13-inch MacBook Air with M3 chip review: Still the best MacBook for most people

Not much has changed. If you aren't a creative professional, this is probably the MacBook you should buy. #apple #macbookair #m3

Great performance ; Completely silent ; Now drives two external displays ; Super thin, relatively light ; Long battery life ; Nice keyboard & large trackpad ; Good speakers

Only 8GB of memory as standard ; Upgrade options are pricey ; Only two USB-C ports ; Throttling can be an issue

The TL;DR version: Highly capable and portable, these are the ideal MacBooks for most people. Pity they only come with 8GB of memory as standard.

MacBook Air (2024) review: M3 updates come to 13 and 15-inch laptops

Now with M3 and support for two external monitors!

Thin, light, powerful, and fanless ; Long battery life ; M3 now supports two external monitors (with the lid closed) ; 1080p webcam is sharp ; Excellent, accurate touchpad ; 15-inch version has excellent speakers

Absurd RAM and SSD upgrade pricing ; Display notch can be distracting

Apple's 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air are portable, thin, attractive laptops with great efficiency and performance. And they can finally support two external monitors. M2 owners don't need to upgrade yet, but other Mac users may be enticed.

Apple MacBook Air M3 review: small upgrades

The MacBook lineup has fallen deeper into an identity crisis. The new MacBook Air M3 is a straightforward improvement over its predecessor, with the same sleek, Pro-like design with tucked-away speakers and four-color options. The trackpad is still...

All-day battery life ; Great performance for basic tasks ; Same chassis and overall design ; 256GB storage option is faster than the Air M2 ; All-day battery life ; Great performance for basic tasks ; Same chassis and overall design ; 256GB storage...

Still gets warm and throttles aggressively under intense workloads ; Midnight color still gets covered in fingerprints ; Port options are still limited ; Base models still start with 8GB memory and 256GB storage ; Still gets warm and throttles...

Correction April 3, 2024, 11:45am ET: The benchmark chart for this article has been updated to correct transposition errors. The Verge regrets the errors.

MacBook Air 13-inch (M3) review: Seeking portable perfection

The MacBook Air 13-inch M3 is a powerful leap forward

Outstanding battery life ; Strong performance ; Bright Liquid Retina display ; Comfortable keyboard ; Improved SSD speeds

Limited ports ; Display not as colorful as competitors

The MacBook Air 13-inch M3 doesn't tweak the formula, but it manages to level up performance and battery life to a degree that will remain difficult for others to match.

MacBook Air M3 Review (2024): Fantastic When You Need It, Expensive If You Don't - SlashGear

The MacBook Air M3 (2024) rolls with some of the nicest hardware in a laptop today -- but do you really need this build if you've purchased an M2 or M1 Mac?

M3 MacBook Air (2024) review: Benchmark results of Apple's AI laptop may surprise you

Apple's best-selling laptop takes a leap forward with the M3 chip, a boost to AI, and support for two external monitors to entice more pros.

"Pro" enough for lots of professional users ; Form factor sets a high bar in style and substance ; Supports two external monitors with the lid closed ; Upgraded neural engine for faster AI tasks

LCD display lags behind OLED competitors ; 8GB of RAM on base model limits its uses ; Limited to two expansion ports, both on one side ; Built-in audio could be much stronger

Apple MacBook Air with M3 Review - Incremental at best, but still outstanding

I don't want to downplay the performance and capabilities of the new Apple MacBook Air with M3 at all, other than to say when compared to it's siblings
