The Asus Zenbook Duo (2024) is a brilliant dual-screen laptop. The extra screen makes a tangible difference to how the laptop’s used. Performance could be improved, but it’s still an outstanding device.

In fact, it confirms to me that Asus has a bit of a wonder on its hands with the Asus Zenbook Duo. Not only is this the best realisation I have yet come across of the dual-screen laptop concept, it’s also a usable, practical laptop, period.

Expensive ; Significant performance throttling ; Only two USB-C ports ; Virtual keyboard is terrible ; Battery life takes a hit when using both displays

The TL;DR version: A truly portable dual-display notebook with little to no compromises. Price aside, there’s simply no better notebook for anyone who needs lots of display real estate on the go.

ASUS quickly has me on board with this new Zenbook Duo, as its upright 'desktop mode' is genuinely beneficial. In a desk environment, the top screen sits perfectly at eye level, and the bottom panel holds a selection of apps suitable for reaching out...
