Acer Aspire One 533 review

A well-built netbook with few flaws, but also few standout features

Light and portable ; Well built ; Sleek design ; Strong keyboard ; Sharp, colourful screen

Bulky battery ; Typically limited performance ; Battery life bettered by others ; Few features ; Not much of an evolution

Since Asus unleashed its first Eee PC three years ago, almost every laptop manufacturer on the globe has come out with its own brand of netbook. However, while it's great to have a huge selection, many netbooks are difficult to differentiate from each...

Acer Aspire One 533

Acer has boosted its arsenal of affordable netbooks with an updated version of the Aspire One 532. The ultra-portable Aspire One 533 gets an improved processor with Intel's Atom N475 running at 1.66GHz while the faster DDR3 RAM also makes it stand out...

Svelte design, bright screen, large keyboard

No HDMI port, flat key design on keyboard

The svelte, lightweight design, large keyboard and bright screen, along with the pumped up processor and faster RAM make this is a great little netbook. This is definitely one to consider if you're in the market for a device that will enable to work...

Acer Aspire One 533 review

Acer's take on an Atom N475 netbook

Long battery life, great keyboard, beautiful design, excellent mobile credentials

Slightly disappointing display, small arrow keys

are being hit by the new breed of tablets, but laptop manufacturers looking to make a quick buck are still churning out new models. Acer certainly isn't averse to releasing the odd netbook, and the Aspire One 533 sits at the top end of its range.

An Acer Netbook : Acer Aspire One 533 Save On Laptops

Not everybody needs the power and functionality offered by today's notebooks. For some the lower specifications of a netbook will suffice.

Various connection options are located along either side of this netbook. A pair of USB 2.0 ports, VGA analogue video output and mains power connections are positioned along the left side. Moving over to the right side reveals a third USB 2.0 port,...

Acer Aspire One 533 review

Huge battery life, but the all-round quality isn't high enough to justify the price

When you consider the Aspire One 533 costs £255 exc VAT, that’s a little disappointing. The battery life is a huge strength and it has the latest Intel parts inside, but it’s still essentially the same as the pack, with a 250GB hard disk, 802.11n...

Review Acer Aspire One 533-13Drr Netbook

Fast and Elegant? Acer now also has a DDR3 netbook with an Intel Atom N455 in form of the Aspire One 533. Does the pretty wrapping only cover the already known? The specs promise an average netbook with a nice design and good ergonomics.

Modern design and good workmanship, Good ergonomics, Battery runtimes, Unoccupied Mini PCI Express slot, Mobile technologies, The modern design in chic color variations, the good workmanship, the unoccupied Mini PCI Express slot and the good ergonomics...

Acer Aspire One 533 (Netbook)

Great Picture. Networking is a doddle. Wireless setup and general setup of Windows was quick and easy. Reason for purchase was for Movies a bit of Internet browsing.

Advertised by ACER as having HDMI OUT but it does not! Need headphones Because speakers are very quiet. Programs take an age to load. OneGIG ram as standard, like all, or most Netbooks but it really needs TwoGIG's of Ram....To install extra ram will...
