Great Laptop, However Battery came DOA

I really like this laptop, however mine also came DOA, contacting Newegg about this. Otherwise pretty much my perfect laptop. Great price and great specs! Just wish the battery came working...

Third Time's A Charm

After I originally purchased this almost a month ago I finally have a working machine. It's a refurbished product so I'm willing to cut it a little slack but for this to be a reoccurring problem for many people shows a real failure in the quality...

Like others have said, it's a good looking computer that packs a lot of power into a small package. Haven't used it much but after the first couple interactions I'm very pleased.

Again as others have said beware of hardware issues on arrival. The first one I received had a DOA battery. I did an RMA through newegg and the BIOS in the second machine didn't recognize the hard drive... I sent that one back through newegg RMA. I...

ASUS UX31L Another DOA Battery

I will return the unit for replacement and report back with the result. (hopefully with a lot more eggs!) Also, I noticed a slight Blooming from the LED back light around the edge of the screen, but the effect is very minor and only barely noticeable...

My Refurbished unit arrived and appeared in good condition. Plugged it in and powered it up. Screen is bright and sharp. Seems snappy and responsive. So far so good...

Seems like a decent laptop, but don't get it refurbished. DOA battery. You've been warned!

It was probably Asus's fault for providing Newegg a laptop with a DOA battery, but that's what testing is for. Newegg are the ones selling this, and since it's an open box item not being sold as new, all they would have to do is plug it in to see that...

On paper this laptop has a ton going for it: it's light, sleek, linux friendly, has room for an extra ssd, has a touchscreen, good resolution, and a nice feeling keyboard. However, I didn't get to do much else with it due to the issue below.

Like a few other customers, my laptop came to me with a DOA battery. A laptop isn't too useful without a working battery. I didn't feel like buying a replacement somewhere online for $90 considering I just bought this laptop and it's advertised as...

like many others , battery DOA

recommended if bought somewhere else, NOT recommended if bought on newegg. THEY DONT RUN ANY BASIC TESTS on refurbished products, obviously if they did , they would have found out about the dead battery.

Would have been a great purchase if it worked

I love everything about the design this machine. It's fast, has a high resolution touch display, and it's super lightweight and thin.

DOA battery, so I returned it just to get another DOA battery. A quick google search will reveal that most of the people who have bought a refurbished UX31LA on other websites too end up with an unchargeable battery. I'm not even sure if it's worth it...

Very Slim Very Lite

Bought this because of the lite-weight, and the hardware specs. The first unit had a battery that was DOA which is why it is getting 4 eggs instead of 5. A dead battery on a refurbished unit should never happen if the manufacturer really refurbished...

Astounding quality for the price!
