Lenovo ThinkPad X61t ultraportable tablet PC

A tidy little 1.9kg unit, the tablet version of Lenovo's ThinkPad X61, the Lenovo ThinkPad X61t ultraportable lacks an integrated optical drive, but it has a great design, long battery life, and an easy-on, easy-off docking station.

Those who aren't sure they need or want a tablet might be better suited to the nontablet X61 model, but if you heavily rely on pen input, the Lenovo ThinkPad X61t is the way to go.

Lenovo ThinkPad X61 ultraportable laptop PC

In the ThinkPad X61, Lenovo has introduced its successor to the Lenovo ThinkPad X60 ultraportable PC.

The great performance and features, and its reasonable price, make the Lenovo ThinkPad X61 our current top choice of ultraportable.

The ThinkPad X61 is well-built and very portable, which makes it suitable for the road warrior. However, it doesn't ship with an optical drive.

Though the optical drive is not integrated, everything else about this business portable is top-notch, especially battery life.

Best keyboard on a tablet PC. Built tough for the road. EV-DO or HSDPA modem embedded. Fast hard drive. Best combination of performance and battery life. Nice grip on the digitizer pen

If you need an optical drive, the docking station is going to be expensive. System is starting to look heavy against the competition ; Watch the Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Tablet Video Review
