Sony has raised the bar again with an ultra-portable notebook to die for!

Sony has built on the good points of the TX Series but also taken some inspiration from the iconic X505VP and produced a truly stunning ultra-portable notebook. Sony has mastered the LED backlight technology and created the best notebook screen I’ve...

Sony Vaio VGN-TZ11XN/B

This is the year that flash memory, in its various guises, will invade notebook storage. First Intel's Turbo Memory followed by hybrid hard drives (HHDs) with small flash caches and, when prices drop, solid state drives (SSDs)

Attractive, Good HD pictures, Attractive and sleek, Good performance, Impressive battery life

Non-high def material disappoints, Mediocre sound, Dated components

Sony has chosen to stick with the tried and tested, and it's a sensible choice... for now

With the world seemingly obsessed with ever cheaper and cheaper notebooks, it's great to see that Sony has continued to strive for portable perfection with the release of the VAIO VGN-TZ11XN/B. The Sony VAIO VGN-TZ11XN/B isn't just another notebook and...

Super-light, great design, good battery life

Not that powerful, pricey

The Sony VAIO VGN-TZ11XN/B isn’t just another notebook and won’t appeal to everyone.

Sony VAIO VGN-TZ11MN review

Sony knows a thing or two about making tiny computers, but does the entry-level model in its new TZ range have the pedigree of its predecessors?

Sony has certainly pushed the limits with the TZ11 and the result is generally extreme in every department.

Review Sony Vaio TZ11XN Notebook

Nice Looking with weaknesses. Subnotebooks by Sony are always int ...

Elegant design; Compact and light; Integrated DVD drive; Very bright display, excellent contrast; Acceptable noise and temperature emissions; Passable battery runtime

Some weaknesses regarding workmanship and case robustness; Number of interfaces poor

The sound output through the 3.5mm stereo socket (not a digital signal) was without any anomalies in our test with a headset

Sony Vaio VGN-TZ11XN

Lightweight and good looking

Windows Vista is slow on this machine and very frustrating- I wish XP were an option instead- I'd certainly downgrade to it if I could.

Very clear screen; lightweight and portable

Wireless connection is very difficult to get working; slightest external interference and it refuses to connect.

Sony Vaio VGN-TZ11XN

Sleek, light and well stacked with features.

What it looses in weight and size it makes up for in price. The power connector feels a bit flimsy and gets in the way of the ethernet cable if you're not careful with it.
