HTC U11 review, specs, release date and features: Does HTC's new flagship offer up a viable alternative to the iPhone 7, LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8?
Fast performance ; Above average camera ; Next to no bloatware ; Hi-Res Audio support great for audiophiles and Tidal users
Ugly design ; Lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack is a pain
The U11 is an excellent all-round smartphone that will meet 99% of people’s needs. I just wish it didn’t look so naff.

A unique phone with great audio performance
Great camera ; Excellent audio performance ; Impressive two-tone coloring
Edge Sense is half-baked ; Screen slightly dim ; Camera shutter speed slow
The HTC U11 is a wildly impressive phone - in a sea of wildly impressive phones. The core abilities will wow any HTC fan, but the squeezable sides really fail to impress.

HTC has gone back to its innovative roots with the HTC U11, and we love it
Slim, colourful design ; Squeezable edges ; Great camera
Not a standout display ; Camera slow ; Looks fragile

Not the most innovative phone of 2017, but likely to be one of the best
Solid build ; Stunning screen ; Fast performance ; Great camera
No headphone jack ; Music could be more engaging ; Battery life ok at best
Not the most exciting or innovative new smartphone, but decent sound and video performance mean it's one of the best of 2017

HTC really does very little wrong in the HTC U11. This is a 2017 phone that's up there with the best, but we suspect that many will be distracted by
Unique colour designs that look eye-catching ; Lots of power for fluid operation ; Great sound quality ; Waterproofing
Battery life could be longer ; Edge Sense "squeeze" feature is a gimmick ; Sense Companion feels unnecessary
The HTC U11 brings with it some of the core components you want from a flagship: there's loads of power for a fast and fuss-free operation, a good display, great camera performance, and attention to detail in the audio offering which puts HTC above its...

The squeezy phone is back with a bigger screen and bumper battery
Excellent camera ; Already gorgeous design updated with 18:9 screen ; Great performance & battery life
Screen could be brighter ; No headphone port ; Not sold through UK networks, high SIM-free price
Probably the best phone HTC has made in years, but it’s arriving just a little too late

UPDATED: Amazon's Alexa is here - Squeeze-able sides shows HTC likes to live life on the Edge(Sense)
Gorgeous glass is a real attention-grabber ; Plenty of performance, but with great battery life ; Loudest smartphone speakers around, and noise-cancelling in-ears are a great bonus ; Camera quality is top-notch
Colours aside, design doesn’t exactly stand out ; Camera can’t quite match rivals for speed ; No headphone jack is annoying, even with an adapter in the box ; Edge Sense a bit limited at launch
Unique features and a delectable design help the U11 stand out, but don’t quite do enough to usurp Samsung’s Galaxy S8 as the 2017 smartphone to beat

Our HTC U11 review examines every aspect of HTC's feature-packed 2017 flagship phone, from the fresh UltraPixel 3 camera to the all-new glass design.
Incredible performance ; Strong features ; World-class camera ; Impressive audio
No HDR
The HTC U11 is exactly the kind of flagship phone that the company needed to launch in 2017. It’s once again a highly enjoyable all-round experience, but feels fresh enough to stand out against earlier handsets and rival premium mobiles..

An in-depth review of HTC's new U11 flagship phone for 2017. Take a look at its ever changing colour and find out why you can squeeze it.
Expert review by (which.co.uk)
HTC's U11 mobile phone is 'squeezable' - you can squeeze the sensors on the side of the phone to take photos and open your favourite app. But is this genuinely useful or a gimmick, and does this smartphone generally offer good bang for its buck across...
