This may well be the best monitor ever. If you can live with the lack of rescaling (possibly an issue for gamers and Xbox users) and aren't budget-conscious, then go for it.

Hard to believe it's already over 12 months since Dell wheeled out the first monster 30-inch monitor for the masses. In the intervening period, the 3007WFP's asking price has slowly edged downwards

Cheap way to get into Blu-ray, Versatile connectivity options, Excellent high-def picture quality, Huge resolution, Excellent response times

No supplied dedicated remote, Washed-out black tones, Narrow viewing angle, Poor connectivity

Desirable extras can't make up for the pricey Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP's sluggish performance.

The Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP would suit those looking for an ergonomic or multimedia display if not for its relatively underwhelming image quality, which is particularly disappointing given its high price for the category.

The Dell E207WFP is a dual-input, 20in widescreen LCD.

The Dell E207WFP is a good, bare-bones, 20in widescreen display. And although it's short on extra features, it performed well in our tests against other displays in its class. You should consider it if you're looking for an inexpensive widescreen monitor.

It's not cheap and we would like to see more onscreen controls, but the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP 30in widescreen flat-panel monitor certainly turned in some strong scores in our Test Centre.

The sure-fire way of making your PC the talk of the town is to match it up with the largest display you can afford. The 27in Dell would be an excellent candidate. Its subtly shaded but sophisticated exterior is bound to draw adoring sounds from passers...
