Feels good, that slick Apple interface, neat features, the sound is superb
Despite that price drop, it’s still relatively expensive
Class-leading in every respect, this is our ultra-portable MP3 player of choice

SpinFit's SuperFine ear tips made me fall in love with my AirPods again.
Great fit ; High-quality silicone ; Only $14
SpinFit doesn't sell sampler sets ; Only one pair per pack
The sillicone SpinFit SuperFine ear tips provide the ultimate comfortable and secure in-ear fit I've wanted from my AirPods Pro for a modest $14.

The Nano is a stunning piece of aesthetic design. Unfortunately like having a Ferrari that's tethered to its favourite petrol station with a steel cable, you're stuck with either iTunes or slightly clunky third party apps to manage your music.
Great looks, Good storage
Low on features, No drag and drop
It's still a strong contender, but lack of features count against it

The best MP3 player in the world is back and, well, pretty much the same as it was before. Except bigger and....err, smaller
Not the most feature-rich Flash MP3 player, but still the sexiest – and the second-generation Nano addresses all the weaknesses of its predecessor.

How else can you describe the second-generation nano but as the resurrection of the iPod mini?
The second-generation nano feels and looks great, with a rugged aluminium finish and bright display. Add the vastly improved battery, high-quality recording and search functions, and you've found this Christmas's must-have purchase.

Price cut, integrated pedometer support, highly portable
No video capabilities

The baby iPod is style over substance incarnate. That's not necessarily as bad as it sounds: to a lot of people, what their player looks like is genuinely important, as is feeling like they've got something that seems worth the money they spent on it
Good battery life, Simplicity to use
Restrictive iTunes software, It just plays music
Absolutely lovely, but not great value

WHEN I BOUGHT A NEW IPOD NANO last weekend, I was initially prepared to sacrifice it, and do a full breakdown of the product to see what made it up. However, I'm very glad to see that Ars Technica have beaten me, as mine can now remain intact....
I was quite expecting it to be able to play back video, as I'm sure that the screen and processor can handle it, and 8GB is more than enough to stuff some TV episodes or even movies on there. I'm sure they've done their experiments with ergonomics, and...

The new Nano is certainly more iPod for your money, and there's no doubt that, feature-wise, it's a big improvement over the first-generation model. Me, I prefer the look of the old one, but if the popularity of the multi-coloured iPod Mini is anything...
