Apple created a phenomenon with the iPod. Now it has reinvented that phenomenon with the iPod nano.
The iPod nano is the kind of product that just makes you stop and stare - anyone that you show it to just wants to hold it and play with it, a bit like when I first showed people my PSP back in January. The nano shows that Apple isn’t sitting on its...

Of all the devices that Apple refreshed at its September music event, it is the iPod nano that has had the most extreme makeover. Gone are the controls and the elongated screen, and in comes a square touchscreen design in its place. We got our hands on...
Compact, excellent build quality
Less functionality than before

Imagine an iPod that's been shrunk to a third of the size and you have the nano.

The iPod minis with their colourful cases were incredibly popular back in their day, and with the new second generation iPod nanos, it seems things have come full circle - because colours are back
Solid build, Colours are back!, Even thinner than the original nanos, Scratch-resistant case, Improved battery life
Disappointing performance, 8GB player only comes in black, Can't play video or games
Sexy, stylish, thin and trendy - only the lack of video stand in their way of world domination

Nano nano. Once a comedy catchphrase in Mork and Mindy, it now adorns, bizarrely, a pair of audio players by Creative and Apple. The coincidence is utterly shazbut.
If you're already an iTunes devotee, or you want a featherweight and fashionable MP3 player, you'll find plenty to love about the iPod nano. It's worth the extra cost for its small size, decent storage and great colour screen.

Having flash memory (solid state with no moving parts) unlike the iPod video which is hard drive based, it is by far the most durable and feature laden iPod one can buy for exclusively playing music on the go!

The very latest nano comes in an aluminium casing that's available in six colours, and if you go for the red, Apple has pledged a portion of the price of each one sold to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. Its never portly dimensions are now even...
Looks terrific, unmatched functionality
Not the cheapest, erm, no radio

redesigned, well-priced music player
Is the new Nano any good? No, it is very, very good indeed. There are one or two players that have better audio quality but nothing approaches Apple's ease of use, quality, style and now, for the first time, value for money. That's right; not only is...
