EZVIZ's C8C is easy to use and feature-packed, with 1080p footage, pan and tilt, and colour night vision. But is it the best outdoor CCTV camera for you?

Colour night vision ; Pan and tilt ; Motion and person detection ; Easy to set up and use

Design not to all tastes ; Might be overkill for some users ; Cheaper options available

A really solid product with a rich feature set, the EZVIZ C8C does what it does well. But for those who don't need all the bells and whistles there are cheaper options available.

This inexpensive system is stripped down to the basics, and it suffers from erratic performance.

Local or cloud storage options available ; Exceptional motion sensitivity ; Great price

Lots of trouble with instability and dropped connections ; Notifications didn’t come through for days
