Typically when I’m asked what manufacturer of SSD is best for a particular application, to be honest SanDisk hasn’t always been the first point of call but with this new drive, I’m happy to say that this is about to change. I’ve already got in mind...

When SanDisk announced the arrival of its Ultra Plus solid-state drive (SSD) at CES two weeks ago, the company made no bones about whom it was targeting: the consumer retrofit market. In other words, this SSD was made specifically to replace that old...
Overall, I was impressed with the SanDisk Ultra Plus SSD. The boot times were excellent, as were the data transfer speeds. The shutdown time was a bit disappointing, but nothing that would dissuade me from purchasing this affordable drive.

The new SanDisk Ultra Plus solid-state drive is an upgrade to the SanDisk Ultra that came out last year. The Plus notation doesn't necessarily mean better performance, but rather lower total cost. The new drive, at launch, is among the most affordable...

SanDisk is a household name as far as NAND storage is concerned. You can't walk into an electronics retailer and not be bombarded with SanDisk made CompactFlash and SD cards. Rip open a tablet and you might find a SanDisk solution. Even the new $249...
Overall the Ultra Plus is a tough drive to recommend over other similarly priced SSDs simply because it doesn't perform as well as its competitors same price class. If low power is a concern however, the Ultra Plus may fit the bill if you have a niche...
