It's not a super fast drive. It is operating over USB so it will be limited to that speed (I knew this before I bought it). However it does operate faster than many other USB drives. I can't recommend it because of data corruption problems.
It is small and convenient. Nice to have an adapter. I haven't tried to see if it works with other PC cards
The drive has stability issues. The data become corrupted very easily. I tried to use this a bootable drive for Linux. It simply will not work after a few boot-ups. I have to reformat and install it, which makes it worthless for that purpose. It's only...

Save your money for a Better SATA SSD - One heck of a lot faster. Was going to use in addition to my 128 gig SSD - Put win 7 swap file on it, But Win 7 barfed at that idea. I think I'll chalk this up to $60 lesson learned and use my 32 gig thumb drive.
