60in of often good picture quality for less than £1000. Surely there can't be anything not to like, right?
It’s breathtakingly cheap, Attractive design, Many good picture quality attributes
Backlight clouding, limited online service, Standard def (predictably) struggles a touch

Sharp's startlingly straightforward 'big screen, low price' mantra at the CES finds its most startling expression with the seriously tempting 80in 80LE632U TV.
At a CES that was more defined than usual by new TV technologies, it was a gamble for Sharp to focus on a simple, price-driven message. But as we walked away from Sharp’s stand already wondering which room we might best be able to accommodate one of...

Sharp begins its 'big screen, small price' campaign
Unbelievably cheap ; Mostly good picture ; Nice design ; Decent audio
Backlight problems ; Poor online system ; Some operational foibles ; Motion processing requires care
At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012), Sharp's stand really stood out.

As you'd expect – given that we're called Home Cinema Choice – we just love really big flatscreens. We'd think nothing of knocking through a living room wall and obliterating our kids' playroom to accommodate a monster display. Especially if that...
Sharp, detailed HD images; good colour fidelity; great value for money; USB timeshifting
Light pooling from edge LED system; no BBC iPlayer or 3D playback; some motion judder

Sharp LC-80LE632U
The gigantic, 80-inch ; is a mightily impressive television in the flesh, and it will instantly inspire envy in all who view it. The TV comes with a decent mix of features and handsome styling, and its matte screen improves the picture in bright rooms.
The picture quality is underwhelming for the price you pay: lighter black levels and rosy reds mean it can't even keep up with cheaper (and inevitably smaller) LCD and plasma TVs. You'll need a really big room to put this in, with at least 10 feet of...
If you're just looking to wow your friends or fill a wall, then the 80-inch Sharp LC-80LE632U is one of the best TVs you can buy, but ho-hum picture quality makes it a questionable value.

It's no secret why you're here; the lure of an 80-inch flat-panel television is too great for anyone to resist. Being the first one on the market, the Sharp LC-80LE632U is bound to attract a lot of attention, and despite some of its more obvious flaws,...

Decent sharpness ; Plenty of viewing acreage
Difficult to calibrate ; Edge-lighting splotches
This 60-inch LCD TV should fill the viewing space in most rooms, but with its washed-out blacks and prominent edge-lighting splotches, it's difficult to recommend, especially for those who like to turn the lights off.
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
One year on, picture still looks as it did at the start. Sound is still wonderful, has been subjected to daily use by small children. I would recommend this product.
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
As a tv the picture quality is excellent, on HD superb. The frame is not obtrusive and given the bulk of the speakers the stand off form the wall is not bad for this size at 90mm with the mount I used. Although I consider most of the similar tv's to be...
Bad points are only with the functions. Not many apps on NET tv for the UK, this may be different for other country's. The EPG does not have a page up down or +24 hrs
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
The picture is excellent. I had been used to a Pioneer Plasma and this Sharp does not dissapoint. The blacks are very good indeed. Used with a sky box the channel change is as normal. Standard definition is absolutely fine unless you sit ridiculously...
A small point - i would have liked the option to stretch the screen and watch hd without the bars top and bottom of the screen. The screen is large however and this is a minor distraction.
