This sub-$1,000 TV makes gaming, sports, and the latest Star Wars: Ashoka look amazing, even compared to much more expensive competitors.
Google TV interface supports all major apps. Excellent black levels and highlights with local dimming and quantum dot panel. 120 Hz at 4K resolution is excellent for gaming and matches what the latest consoles can do. Easy casting from Android. Easy to...
Legs too far apart for smaller TV stands. The interface can be slow at times. Screen is pretty reflective in direct light.
It’s honestly a bit laughable that you can now get this much TV for under $1,000 retail so easily in 2023. A few years ago, a TV with these specs would have been many times the price, would have looked worse, and would have been more difficult to use....

The TCL Q7 Class TV doesn't live up to its predecessors' brightness or value, but still offers a good picture at a reasonable price.

The TCL Q7/Q750G QLED is a mid-range TV and sits right below the TCL QM8/QM850G QLED and above the TCL Q6 QLED in TCL's 2023 lineup. It's a QLED TV equipped with a local dimming feature that has more than 200 dimming zones in its bigger sizes. It's...
Excellent SDR peak brightness. Incredible contrast and black uniformity with local dimming enabled.
Inadequate viewing angle. Terrible pre-calibration accuracy.
The TCL Q7 is a good TV overall, with some caveats. It has only decent reflection handling, but it gets very bright, especially in SDR, so the TV can easily handle bright rooms. The TV has terrific contrast and incredible black uniformity, so any...

The TCL Q7 proves that a less-expensive TV can still be a bright spot in your home. Literally, in this case: This QLED set, TCL's midrange QLED offering, delivers terrific brightness in both SDR and HDR, which could go a long way toward making the TV...
High brightness in many scenarios Good color handling Excellent Google TV software Backlit remote
Mediocre sound Narrow viewing angles
With a bright picture, good color and few missteps, the TCL Q7 is a worthwhile choice for a mid-priced TV. We also like the built-in Google TV software and the backlit (if chunky) remote. Just don’t expect the best sound or wide viewing angles.
